Waar is on the edge of Vår Skov, a big forrest and has a fantastic view of the Limfjord as well as a path leading directly to the water.

The little village of Farstrup is 2 kilometers away. It has a grocer and a post-office.

There are also a lot of places to go fishing both in the Limfjord, in small rivers and in "put and take" lakes.

There are several golf clubs within easy reach, only a few kilometers away: Himmerland’s Golf and Country Club, Løgstør Golf Club and Sebber Kloster Golf Club.

The market towns of Nibe and Løgstør are both 13 kilometers away and it takes half an hour to Aalborg by car.

The North Sea with the best beaches in Denmark is within a distance of 25 kilometers. A lot of people use Waar as a starting point when visiting Skagen and Legoland.

A few of the nearest tourist attractions are: the Monastery of Vitskøl, the small island Livø, the old Viking Town of Sebbersund and the beautiful moors of Himmerland.
